We did our Homework on the Bus is an upcoming social history book which takes a deep dive into the tactile and oral memories of St Mary's, Sidcup.

I designed In Omnibus Labora to promote the ongoing research and raise awareness of the upcoming publication, aiming to capture the interest of those who may wish to contribute or have photographs or paraphernalia which could be included in the book, as well as build excitement for its eventual release, teasing photos and outlining its scope.

I retouched old photos, enhancing and correcting colour where necessary, and digitised the school crest after being sent photos of an old school blazer. The ripped-paper sections reflect the collaborative approach of the book, while bringing across a youthful anti-establishment tone that echoes a fond nostalgia of doing one's homework on the school bus.
This site was expanded with a blog section, detailing the research process for the book and featuring alumni biographies to draw in users google searching old classmates.

I worked collaboratively with Matthew to hone in on his target market, editing the metadata of the page to include relevant keywords, as well as including links to reputable third-party sites. To enhance the SEO, we have also included links to the website via social media and Wikipedia, and will pursue appropriate PR to increase traffic to the website as the book reaches publication.
